Newser.AI
We have launched our human and machine experiment: Newser.AI. In partnership with AnyforSoft, we have developed a chatbot that uses ChatGPT as its core technology to help us summarize the news. These stories will be distinct from our editorially created ones (both in terms of where they appear and how they are bylined). Read our AI policy and more about our current and future plans for AI-generated news here.

New App for Android and Windows
Android and Windows users—a new version of our app is now available! We’ve transitioned to a Progressive Web App. We’ll spare you the tech explainer, but the good news is that PWAs are easier to maintain, meaning we’ll be able to roll out more new features more regularly. Android users will notice some additions, like to ability to read comments/comment and an in-app badge (next to the Newser logo in the header) that tells you how many new stories have been posted since you last visited the app.

And it’s even easier to download: You can do so through the Google Play Store or open the Newser website in Chrome or the new Edge—if you do, you’ll be automatically prompted to install the app. Just click on the banner and it will be added to your home screen. Because it’s a new type of app, it doesn’t update the old version but is added as a brand new app, so be sure to delete your old one.

Never miss a Newser story thanks to the addition of a red badge in the header of our page (on both the website and our apps). The count tells you the number of new stories that have been published since you were on the home page or screen. Just tap it or the Newser logo to see the latest stories.
