(AP Photo/Mary Ann Chastain) Jim Clyburn thinks Alvin Greene, the Democrats’ anonymous, allegedly felonious new Senate candidate, is a ringer. “There were some real shenanigans going on in the South Carolina primary,” the House Majority whip told a liberal radio show today, incredulous that the unemployed Greene could muster the $10,000 needed to register for the race out of his own pocket. “I don’t know if he was a Republican plant; he was someone’s plant.” If an outside group did fund Greene’s non-campaign and didn’t report it, it would violate campaign finance laws, the Hill explains. “I would hope the US Attorney down there would look at this,” Clyburn said. “I think there’s some federal laws being violated. … Somebody gave him that $10,000.” Read These Next President Monroe's daughter wrote a desperate plea in 1839.
