(AP Photo/Phil McCarten, file) David Carradine’s wife alleges her husband wouldn’t have died if the production company he was shooting a movie with had taken better care of him. The assistant assigned to Carradine was supposed to get him to dinner with the film’s director on the night he died, but instead of checking on Carradine when he didn’t answer his phone, the assistant went to dinner alone—and told Carradine tough luck when the actor called him an hour later. The assistant told him “they were already across town and David Carradine would have to make his own arrangements that evening,” according to Anne Carradine’s wrongful death suit, obtained by TMZ, which says he would still be alive if the production company had adhered to industry standards in the way it cared for its star.
