(AP Photo/Hard Rock Cafe, Aynsley Floyd, file) Alexa Ray Joel is “in a Zen good place” 6 months after her suicide scare, and she's sorry for being “dramatic.” Though she admits saying “I want to die” to a 911 operator, Joel tells People she didn’t actually want to end her life: “I was being dramatic, and I take responsibility and apologize to everybody involved.” Mom Christie Brinkley blames herself for the incident because she disapproved of Joel’s relationship with Jimmy Riot, ContactMusic.com reports. “I was addicted to this man, and it spiraled out of control,” Joel says, adding that Riot never contacted her after the overdose—“but, at the end I realized I didn't need him.” She says she has her “perspective back.” Read These Next A Delta flight got wild with an allegedly unruly passenger.
