No longer talking about being traded, Kobe Bryant arrived at the Lakers' media day 34 minutes after the rest of his team and assured his fans that he is "ready to go." Kobe shook hands with Andrew Bynum, the center he bashed in a fan video in June, and said that he is "all smiles," reports the Los Angeles Times.

The volatile guard cites his stint on the "monster" US Olympic qualifiers team this summer as contributing to his new attitude. "It was a big help playing with guys who enjoy basketball," Bryant backhanded, and added that his goal this year is to "get the best out of" his Laker teammates. (More Los Angeles Lakers stories.)
