Charges against Olympic figure skater's brother may be amended

The death of Nancy Kerrigan's father was a homicide, but the DA in the case hasn't decided whether to charge the Olympic figure skater's brother with murder. Mark Kerrigan was charged with committing assault and battery against their 70-year-old father just before he died. He pleaded not guilty and has been under psychiatric observation since shortly after Daniel Kerrigan's death on Jan. 24, the Boston Globe reports.

Cardiac arrest killed Daniel Kerrigan "following a physical altercation with neck compression causing injury to the neck," according to the medical examiner in Middlesex County, outside Boston.
