David Vitter says reports he threw a tantrum at Washington's Dulles Airport are way off base, reports the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports. The Republican acknowledges that he blundered through the wrong door in a rush to catch a flight back to Louisiana, but denies reports that he berated an airport worker who stopped him. ”I did have a conversation with an airline employee, but it was certainly not like this silly gossip column made it out to be,“ said Vitter, who—according to Roll Call—set off a security alarm when he tried to board his flight even though the gate was closed. The Transportation Security Administration plans to review the incident. Read These Next USPS just added an unprecedented surcharge. Air Canada's CEO is in hot water for his post-crash remarks.
