Michelle Obama Not Offended by 'That One;' Praises Palin

John McCain set the blogosphere rumbling about racial insensitivities when he referred to Barack Obama as "that one" during their debate last night, but don't count Michelle Obama among the offended. She told CNN's Larry King that the comment barely registered with her. Obama also said she bore no grudges against Sarah Palin for her recent attacks on her husband, the Boston Globe notes.

"You know, I think she provides an excellent example of all the different roles that women can and should play," Obama said. "You know, I'm a mother with kids and I've had a career and I've had to juggle. She's doing publicly, what so many women are doing on their own privately. What we're fighting for is to make sure that all women have the choices that Sarah Palin and I have."
