Remember Bridgegate? President Trump does, and he's threatening to reopen an investigation into the infamous traffic-jam scandal that dogged the administration of former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie. The president issued the threat after Christie, another ally-turned-critic, criticized Trump over the weekend on TV, reports USA Today.
- What Christie said: Among other things, he accused Trump of politicizing the Justice Department by going after critics such as John Bolton. "You were told that this was what he was going to do," Christie said on ABC's This Week. "And not by me, by Donald Trump during the 2024 campaign. He told you he was going to do this—that he was going to have a Justice Department that acted as his personal legal representation, and that is what they're doing."
