Elijah Blue Allman, son of iconic singer Cher and the late Gregg Allman of the Allman Brothers Band, was hospitalized Saturday after an apparent drug overdose, sources tell TMZ. The younger Allman has struggled with substance abuse issues over the years, and the gossip site paints him as "lucky to have survived." It's not known what drugs he was allegedly using, but sources say he remains in the hospital and that his mother is working to get him help.

Per the Mirror, Allman is also a musician, stage name P. Exeter Blue, and he's said in the past that he started using drugs when he was just 11 years old. Cher was accused of hiring men to kidnap her son in 2022, when he was reconciling with his estranged wife, of whom Cher reportedly does not approve. The following year, Cher filed to act as her son's conservator, arguing he'd spend all his money on drugs. Last year, after Allman told the court he was off drugs and able to manage his own money, Cher's request was rejected. Amidst all this, Allman's marriage has also been on-again off-again, but as of this year, the couple's divorce is back on. Sources recently told OK! that Cher is very happy about that, as she reportedly believes Allman's estranged wife contributed to her son's struggles. (More Cher stories.)
