(AP Photo/LM Otero) A trust company overseen by Cindy McCain has paid almost $7,000 in overdue property taxes to San Diego County, after Newsweek began looking into unpaid bills on the condo. Government notices sent to a Phoenix address were returned by the post office; and the county claims that McCain owes a further $1,742 that will go into default July 1. "We do hear an awful lot of excuses for why people don't pay," said a tax collector. "Under the law, the property owner is responsible for keeping the address current.
