The Inquirer reports that police asked residents of certain neighborhoods to remain inside after clashes between protesters and police, looting, and violence including debris thrown by protesters and pepper spray and baton use by officers. CBS Philly reports that one neighborhood was being called a total loss. "Nothing’s happening, nothing’s changing," a motivational speaker said via microphone to a line of riot police, wondering why the officers involved in Walter Wallace Jr.'s death were still on the force. "What I need y’all officers to know is you will treat us like humans. When you take off those uniforms, you look just like us, you live in neighborhoods just like us."
