Police found Samuel Israel's car parked near a bridge over the Hudson, with “Suicide is painless” written in dust on the hood. Israel was convicted of bilking Bayou Group investors out of $400 million. “We can't say conclusively at this point that he jumped off the bridge,” said one investigator.
