In an hour-long interview set to air Monday night on Britain's BBC Panorama program, Jeffrey Epstein's accuser Virginia Giuffre recounts the night she met Prince Andrew and the series of events that followed. Giuffre alleges that as a 17-year-old in 2001, she accompanied Epstein and his then-girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell to London's Tramp night club. She says the prince bought her a drink asked her to dance, and it wasn't pretty. "He is the most hideous dancer I've ever seen in my life," the BBC reports her as saying. "His sweat was like it was raining basically everywhere." (He has claimed a medical condition kept him from sweating.) "I was just like grossed out from it," she continued, per the Guardian, "but I knew I had to keep him happy because that’s what Jeffrey and Ghislaine would have expected from me."
She alleges that what came next was far worse: that while in the car after the club while en route to Maxwell's home, Maxwell told her "that I have to do for Andrew what I do for Jeffrey and that just made me sick." Sex followed that evening, Giuffre says. The Guardian reports Giuffre's interview was given prior to the airing of Prince Andrew's calamitous interview, so there are no direct responses to his most recent set of denials. However, she does "implore the people in the UK to stand up beside me, to help me fight this fight ... This is not some sordid sex story. This is a story of being trafficked. This is a story of abuse and this is a story of your guy’s royalty." (More Prince Andrew stories.)
