Barmes drove in four runs and Holliday and Atkins knocked in three apiece for the Rockies, who beat their NL West rivals for the first time in six meetings this year. Aaron Cook (1-1) got the win. The Rockies turned to Cook to stop the bleeding on a bright, 89-degee day in the desert as his team had dropped the first five meetings with Arizona this season by a combined 38-10. Cook (1-1) went six innings, allowing three runs on eight hits. He walked three and struck out four. Barmes had three hits and is 6-for-11 this season.
