Stocks continued to push higher, setting more all-time highs for major US indexes, the AP reports. Bond yields climbed Monday, helping to send banks and other financial companies higher. Citigroup rose 2.3%. Apple closed at an all-time high. In deal news, Zeltiq Aesthetics soared 13.2% after agreeing to be acquired by Allergan, which makes Botox, for $2.5 billion. Phone companies fell after Verizon announced an unlimited data plan. The Standard & Poor's 500 index rose 12 points, or 0.5%, to 2,328.
