Party Pooh-bahs to Clinton: Lose and Go Home

Top Democrats are urging Hillary Clinton to quit if she can’t score big in Tuesday’s primaries, the New York Times reports. Senators John Kerry and Dick Durbin, both Obama backers, and New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson pressed her today to consider party unity if she loses in Texas and Ohio. “I just think that D-Day is Tuesday,” Richardson said on “Face the Nation."

But a Clinton campaign chief said on ABC's "This Week" that she "has a very strong case" for beating John McCain in November. And Clinton backer Dianne Feinstein said on "Fox News Sunday" that Clinton "has every right to stay in the race if she chooses to do so.” As Dems battled each other, Howard Dean blasted John McCain as "flawed" for changing his ethics to suit the political moment.
