No. 17 Washington State couldn't buy a basket last night, shooting 34% from the field as Arizona ran away with a 65-55 upset. The Wildcats saw their big three catch fire at once, as Jordan Hill had 13 points and nine boards, Jerryd Bayless scored 20, and Chase Budinger topped out at 22, the Arizona Republic reports. Meanwhile, in California:

No. 23 St. Mary's suffered an upset of its own, allowing Kent State to come from behind for a 65-57 victory. Al Fisher led the Golden Flashes with 27 points, including the buckets that put Kent State ahead in the dwindling minutes. St. Mary's Diamon Simpson led the team in all categories, collecting 24 points, 15 rebounds and four assists. (More NCAA basketball stories.)
