It also shattered Titanic’s $21.6 million Super Bowl weekend record. A pleased Disney extended the pic’s planned one-week run. Studios stuck with targeting women on Super Bowl weekend and sales were up overall. Jessica Alba’s The Eye debuted in 2nd with $13 million, but the other newcomers–Eva Longoria Parker’s Over Her Dead Body and nature spoof Strange Wilderness–fell flat, opening at 11th and 13th respectively. 27 Dresses stayed strong in 3rd as Juno held in at 4th and Meet the Spartans took 5th.
