Chief Justice John Roberts administered the oath of office today at 11:55am in the Blue Room of the White House. First lady Michelle Obama, daughters Sasha and Malia, and a few reporters witnessed the ceremony. Obama will take the oath again tomorrow during a public swearing-in at the Capitol before hundreds of thousands of people. Vice President Joe Biden was sworn in for a second term this morning by Justice Sonia Sotomayor. Gawker notes that after the swearing-in, Sasha Obama piped up, "Good job, daddy."
