Celebrity | Jennifer Lawrence Jennifer Lawrence Almost Killed Someone With Arrow And more fun tidbits from 'Vanity Fair' interview By Evann Gastaldo Posted Jan 2, 2013 11:58 AM CST Copied In this image released by Lionsgate, Jennifer Lawrence portrays Katniss Everdeen in a scene from "The Hunger Games." (AP Photo/Lionsgate, Murray Close, File) Hunger Games star Jennifer Lawrence always makes for a fun interview, and her latest sitdown with Vanity Fair is no exception. The magazine breaks out three great quotes online today: When coming home one day, Hunger Games bow and arrow in tow, she thought she heard intruders. "I was like, 'I'm not letting them take my stuff,'" she says, so she loaded the bow ... only to discover people working on her house. "I was like, 'Heyyy, how you doin'?'" Her friends' response: "We've got to stage someone to break into your house and you can kill them! That would be the funniest news ever. Katniss Everdeen actually kills someone with a bow and arrow!" "Not to sound rude, but [acting] is stupid," she says. "Everybody’s like, ‘How can you remain with a level head?’ And I’m like, ‘Why would I ever get cocky? I’m not saving anybody’s life. There are doctors who save lives and firemen who run into burning buildings. I’m making movies. It’s stupid.'" Even so, she's always scared of how she'll react when she runs into an actor she admires: "For instance, one time someone was introducing me to Bill Maher, and I saw Meryl Streep walk into the room, and I literally put my hand right in Bill Maher’s face and said, 'Not now, Bill!,' and I just stared at Meryl Streep." She didn't meet her though, "I just creepily stared at her." Click for the magazine's full cover story preview. Read These Next New workplace jargon: 'job hugging.'
