Police are examining a large rock and tree branch found inside a tiger enclosure at the San Francisco Zoo to determine if they may have been part of an attack or taunting of the animal that leaped out to kill a teenager last month, reports CNN. A witness reported seeing two victims who survived the tiger attack harassing lions at the zoo earlier in the day, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
The zoo re-opens today after installing a warning system and signs telling visitors to respect the animals. "Something prompted our tiger to leap over the exhibit and all I can do is ensure that's never going to happen again," said the zoo's director. The two survivors of the attack have hired an attorney to sue the zoo.
