Gingrich: Sure, Release My Freddie Mac Records

Mitt Romney is demanding that Newt Gingrich release records from his time at Freddie Mac—and Gingrich says that's no problem ... alas, it's out of his hands. He tells ABC News that it would be "very helpful" for his former firm to release his contract with Freddie ahead of Florida's primary. "Our attorneys are talking with the company," Center for Health Transformation, he says.

"You know, I left the company, so it’s their decision. But I’d be very comfortable releasing them," Gingrich adds, noting that it's "ironic" that Romney should ask for them. "Here’s someone who has released none of his business records, who has decided to make a stand on transparency without being transparent." Indeed, "I did no lobbying, period."
