Will charge extra for toys, like McDonald's

Burger King is taking a page from the McDonald's handbook: In order to "comply" with San Francisco's so-called "Happy Meal ban," the fast food chain will stop giving away toys in its kids' meals … but it will offer them for purchase for just 10 cents more. While McDonald's is giving the proceeds from toy sales to Ronald McDonald House charities, Burger King has not yet decided what to do with the extra money, the San Francisco Chronicle reports. The ban goes into effect today.
