6 Endorsements Could Sway Race

With voting just weeks away in the Republican race, the Fix blog of the Washington Post looks at six endorsements that could play a role in determining a winner.

• Jim DeMint: The conservative South Carolina senator carries serious clout with the Tea Party, though he probably won't weigh in until late January. No clear favorite is in the mix, though Mitt Romney looks to be out of luck.

• The Bushes: It could come from any number of people, including Jeb, the elder George, or Dick Cheney. The recipient (if there is one) would likely get a fundraising boost from the Bush machine. Romney is probably the favorite at this point.
• Mike Huckabee: Social conservatives still love him after his 2008 run, and polls show that Republicans trust him. Once again, Romney is the likely favorite.
