(CNN) Fox News suspended contributor Rick Santorum yesterday because he had "signaled" a possible 2012 run for the presidency, and Santorum has just one gripe with the matter: Fox never actually asked him if he was considering a 2012 run. Santorum revealed that yesterday on CNN's John King USA—and also addressed the question of why he and Newt Gingrich were suspended while Sarah Palin and Mike Huckabee were not. "I don't know why Fox differentiated, whether there's been conversations," he said. "They didn't talk to me and ask me whether I'm running or not. It was not something that we had a conversation about. I don't know whether other people have had conversations." Even so, he says the suspension will not "affect my decision process at all. ... All the things that when you test the waters you have to test to see how you're doing really are quite separate than media appearances on Fox."
