Lil Nas X Arrested Allegedly Strolling LA Street Nearly Naked

Lil Nas X was arrested after allegedly strolling down the middle of a major road in Los Angeles early Thursday wearing nothing but white briefs and cowboy boots. The Grammy-winning "Old Town Road" rapper at one point put an orange traffic cone on his head, according to TMZ, and onlookers eventually called police. When they arrived on the scene, "the suspect charged at officers and was taken into custody," a Los Angeles Police Department rep says, per USA Today. "He was transported to a local hospital for a possible overdose and placed under arrest for Battery on a Police Officer."

After skyrocketing to fame in 2018 with "Old Town Road," the 26-year-old rapper, real name Montero Lamar Hill became one of the music industry's most high-profile LGBTQ+ artists. But, while he's had two other No. 1 songs on the Hot 100 since then ("Industry Baby" and "Montero (Call Me By Your Name)"), he has in recent years been less in the spotlight, though his second studio album is due out this year. He revealed to fans in April that he was experiencing health struggles, though he never revealed a diagnosis, and People reports that in February, he'd mentioned on social media that the past few years had been "very difficult" on him due to his quick rise to fame.
